Running is important, though probably not as important as it is for you. I like my work. I feel useful and challenged, though perhaps do a little "empty miling" here - like reading your blogs. However overall I think it's ok. Running further is ...Running laps is not important. Running further is not important. Running faster is not important. Running, full stop , is not important in the grand scheme of things. Being the best is not important. Seeing your kids laughing, getting a hug from your partner as you drift to sleep. They are important. We chase, chase, chase. Sometimes it's there . Giving up the chase is as difficult as the chase itself. When I see your family, that's when I see your achievements. What more is there. Just enjoy the empty milling.
